Honoring Dr. Philip Landrigan

at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown
The event will be catered by Abigail Kirsch, and will include a cocktail hour with silent auction, Journal, dinner, and the presentation of the Edith C. Macy Award for Distinguished Service to Dr. Landrigan.
Dr. Philip Landrigan, M.D., M.Sc., D.I.H., is a renowned expert on environmental health and pediatrics who has worked to translate science into public policy and introduce children's environmental health into mainstream medical education. He currently serves as professor of pediatrics and preventative medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, is chairman of the Department of Community and Preventive Medicine, and directs the Mt. Sinai Center for Children's Health and the Environment.

On March 7, 2008, Dr. Richard Barth addressed over one hundred service providers, community members, County officials, and WCA Board and Advisory Council members at the Westchester Children Association’s annual Advocacy Breakfast, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains. Dr. Barth’s speech, which marked the inauguration of WCA’s Kathryn Wasserman Davis Child Advocacy Lecture, focused on parent training programs for child welfare-involved families.
