Our Goal: Keeping Kids Healthy
Read about actions we have taken to keep Westchester's kids healthy.
Children
without Health Insurance
There are an estimated 12,000 uninsured children in Westchester
County. More than two-thirds of New York's uninsured children
are eligible for, but not enrolled in, public health insurance. |

|
 |
WCA is a key leader of
the County's Facilitated Enrollment project, which helps eligible
families enroll their children
in publicly sponsored health insurance programs.

Children's
Oral Health
Tooth decay is the single most prevalent chronic childhood disease
- 5 times more common than asthma and 7 times more common than
hay fever. Much of the suffering associated with oral disease
is preventable. |

WCA
improves children's oral health by educating parents and overcoming
barriers to dental care... |
